Union Station Foundation’s annual bowl-a-thon, “Strike Out Homelessness,” will take place on Sunday, March 4. Players will enjoy pizza, beverages, a cash raffle and prizes.

The top team will receive a grand prize package including six tickets to Universal Studios, six movie passes and food vouchers. The top individual will win a “Hollywood Here We Come” package, consisting of tickets to the taping of a live TV show in Hollywood, a pair of VIP tickets to the taping, dinner and limousine service. Other prizes include tickets to a sporting event, a movie premier, Huntington Library and the musical “Wicked” as well as a spa package, wine and chocolate basket, canvas portrait and gift certificates.

All proceeds will benefit Union State, the largest and most comprehensive social service agency serving poor and homeless people in Pasadena and West San Gabriel Valley. Participation will help support Union Station’s programs and services, including the intake and assessment center, adult and family shelters, transitional housing apartments for families, community meals program and career development program.

Last year, bowlers raised more than $50,000 to “Strike Out Homelessness.”

The bowl-a-thon will be held at Pickwick Bowl (1001 West Riverside Drive, Burbank) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.unionstationhs.org or contact Kandy Nunn at (626) 240-4559.
