The Impact of Your Donations
As the largest provider of social services for homeless and low-income individuals and families in the San Gabriel Valley and beyond, we are poised to do more than ever to drive significant, lasting, and positive change for our community.
While government contracts enable us to expand our impact, we continue to rely heavily on the generosity of our community. Thanks to our donors, we helped thousands of people access housing and supportive services last year. Our most important fiscal commitment is to steward our dollars to maximize our impact in the lives of those we serve. We regularly evaluate our processes and practices to improve and streamline them as needed.
our Annual Growth
In the last fiscal year, our revenue grew by 33% and expenses increased by 24%, allowing us to continue the expansion of critical services in the region. Increased program locations made us more accessible to those seeking help and better positioned our staff to perform critical outreach services. We continued to provide services without interruption during the COVID-19 pandemic and took on new contracts and sites in order to assist our clients during this time of extreme need.
Program Support
In 2021, we continued to increase our efficiency during this period of growth to ensure that over 85% of our total expenses are program-related, directly supporting our mission of rebuilding lives and ending homelessness.

Leaving a Legacy:
Noel Corngold
Noel Corngold, a Professor of Applied Physics, joined the Caltech community in 1966. During his 44-year career, he researched reactor theory and mathematical physics, produced many papers on the topic, taught and supervised numerous students and lectured at venues worldwide. His passion for physics and dedication to his students never left him.
Noel greatly admired Union Station Homeless Services’ work and honored us with his first gift of $15 in 1986. Over the years, the Corngold family has shared not only monetary donations but also the talents of Noel’s son, Jordan, who serves on our Board of Directors. We are deeply grateful and humbled by Noel’s gifts.
Thank you to our legacy society members!
Whether they have passed on or are living, the members of our Legacy Society have made their mark. Because of their love of life and concern for others, their memories will never be extinguished – and their gifts will remind us all that we, too, can make a difference in the lives that follow.
